Ingredients for the barbecued pork and broccoli recipes:
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 carrots, cut into matchsticks
200 g (6 1/2 oz.) broccoli, chopped
6 spring onions, diagonally sliced
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh ginger
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
400 g (13 oz.) Chinese barbecued pork, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons mirin
2 cups (180 g/6 oz.) bean sprouts
Directions for the barbecued pork and broccoli recipes:
1. If you want to start cooking the barbecued pork and broccoli recipes, start by following these guidelines. Heat the wok until very hot, after add the oil and swirl it around to coat the side. Stir-fry the onion over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, or until slightly softened. Add the carrot, broccoli, spring onion, ginger and garlic and cook for 4-5 minutes, tossing the mixture constantly.
2. Increase the heat to high and add the barbecued pork. Toss constantly until the pork is very well mixed with the vegetables. You got to be careful to be heated through also. Add the soy sauce and mirin, and toss until the ingredients are well coated. (The wok should be hot enough for the sauce to reduce into a glaze.) Add the bean sprouts and season well with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
